PGP Gets Anti-virus Add-On From Symantec

PGP Corp. and Symantec Corp. this week announced a partnership under which they will deliver the encryption companys PGP Universal mail encryption gateway with Symantec AntiVirus Scan Engine built into it. PGP Universal is a network product that encrypts emails using key pairs stored on behalf of the end user. Now firms will be able scan mail for viruses immediately before encryption and after decryption.
