Security service provider SecureWorks has acquired U.K.-based DNS Ltd. to expand its footprint in Europe.
The acquisition, made for an undisclosed sum, expands SecureWorks global operations and service offerings to include a U.K.-based Security Operations Center; offices in London and Edinburgh; an Identity and Access Management Practice; and additional sales, security and management staff dedicated to growing revenues in the U.K. and Europe.
DNS specializes in managed security services. In particular, SecureWorks highlighted the company’s identity and access management service, which is now part of the SecureWorks portfolio.
“This is a positive move for both SecureWorks and DNS and our combined client base,” said Mike Cote, chairman and CEO of SecureWorks, in a statement. “Both SecureWorks and DNS focus exclusively on information security and are committed to delivering excellent client service while looking after the welfare of our employees.”
SecureWorks has more than 2,700 clients on six continents, including four of the Fortune 10 and several well-known organizations headquartered in the U.K. and Europe.
Graeme Cox, managing director and founder of DNS, said in a statement that the combination of the two companies will greatly expand the depth and breadth of services available to their customers.
“Our clients now have access to a full portfolio of service offerings that provide superior threat protection, improved regulatory compliance and increased return on security investments,” Cox said. “Plus, our clients can be assured that they will receive the very best in client service as this is a top priority for both SecureWorks and DNS. I feel confident that this will be a very rewarding combination.”
