GemStone Systems Inc. and IBM announced a partnership to deliver Linux solutions in the financial services industry Wednesday.
Beaverton, Ore.-based GemStone will integrate its GemFire data services solutions with IBMs suite of products, including the WebSphere application server platform, the DB2 and Informix database systems, MQ Series messaging software, and IBMs Rational software development tools, the company said.
GemStone is a member of IBMs Partnerworld for Developers program and will be part of IBMs Linux Center of Competence for Wall Street, GemStone officials said.
GemFire is a high-performance data services solution that integrates data from multiple sources in real time.
Scott Handy, director of Linux software solutions at IBM, said partnering with GemStone in the Linux environment will enable enterprise users to gain access to information “faster and easier.”
