Kudos for Jason Brooks bold stand for operating system options [Review, “OpenSUSE 10.1 Is Versatile, but Uneven,” June 12]. Im a Microsoft Windows XP power user who finally made the jump to SUSE Linux 10.1 after too many anti-malware help sessions for some of my less savvy colleagues.

One hundred percent of my computing is now done with Linux or FreeBSD. I still keep a WinXP machine around for contingencies, but I doubt if I will ever need it.
