Xandros Inc. on Tuesday announced general availability of the next release of its flagship software package, the Xandros Desktop Version 2.

The softwares developers said that the new version allows greater ease-of-use and compatibility with Windows programs. Users will be able to install the new OS, based on the “Sarge” version of Debian GNU/Linux (Linux 2.4.22 kernel) in just four clicks, the New York company said.
