Divine Inc., the company put together by the acquisition of more than a dozen Internet software startups, will deliver on its so-called extended enterprise strategy Wednesday with the launch of all of its products as an integrated suite.
Though the Chicago-based company has not yet named the integrated suite, it has created connections between its content management, collaboration and search technologies so that they can be used together as an integrated package.
For example, users can search through content in Divines Content Server and Participant Server content management products with Divines SinglePoint Search engine. Users can collaborate to develop the content for the content management products using tools, such as Divine Fuse for team collaboration and MindAlign for instant messaging.
Divine also adds CRM capabilities with NetAgent for online customer service, including live chat, Velocity Marketing for marketing campaign automation, and OpinionWare, for conducting Web surveys.
“These integrated solutions enable companies to accelerate the flow of information throughout the organization,” said Joe Forgione, vice president of software solutions at Divine, in a statement.
In other news in the collaboration space, CoCreate Software Inc. on Tuesday announced enhancements for OneSpace Collaboration, specifically designed to improve engineering design processes involving documents, 2D drawings and 3D models.
Enhancements include support for work-alone mode, so that users can view, inspect, mark up or modify designs when preparing for an online meeting, and advanced 3-D cross-sectioning, for more flexibility in viewing 3-D models.
Other improvements in this version, 11.6, include integrated online chat, which can be saved as a record of meetings, viewing of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel files from within OneSpace, and faster connection and application launch times and file transfers.
