Business phone systems and contact center solutions specialist Fonality and SIP phone provider Yealink announced a partnership to broaden Fonality’s hardware phone portfolio.

Aimed at small and midsize businesses (SMBs), the handsets specifically feature Fonality’s Hybrid Hosted technology and will be available in the fourth quarter of 2013.

“More often, SMBs are seeing the benefits of Gigabit Ethernet, including its affordable infrastructure, increased speed and reduced complexity,” Rosemarie Savino, vice president of product management with Fonality, said in a statement. “Fonality is always looking for the best hardware tools to empower our customers, and Yealink has established itself as a leader in cutting-edge communications technology. We’re excited to expand our phone portfolio these new handsets.”

The partnership is designed to provide customers with access to a range of handsets in addition to existing handsets that Fonality already features. With four additional phone models available, customers can access phone hardware, which is complemented by Fonality’s communications solution, designed specifically for midmarket companies.

“As one of the fastest-growing communications research and manufacturing companies globally, our products meet rigorous test standards for quality, performance and the lowest-possible power consumption,” Stone Lu, vice president of Yealink, said in a statement. “We’re proud of our technology, and look forward to placing it in the hands of Fonality’s small and midsize business customers.”

Earlier this month, Fonality announced a bundled pricing offering for customers with 25 or more users. An all-inclusive package for under $40 per user per month, customers get the option of cloud or on-premise deployment with no upfront costs and no long-term contracts.

Businesses with 25 or more users can take advantage of Fonality’s all-inclusive business phone solutions, which include advanced contact center features, desktop phones at no additional cost, unlimited domestic calling (based on Fonality’s fair usage policy), the company’s Heads Up Display unified communication tool and Fonality remote installation services.

Fonality has had a busy year partnering with various technology firms—last month the company announced a deal with Snap Recordings, a provider of professional-quality voice recordings for business telephones, that provides Fonality customers with access to professional voice talent for phone system greetings and recordings.

Fonality customers can follow a link in the Fonality Admin Control Panel to a customized landing page, where they can choose from among several Snap Recordings packages and more than 80 voiceover artists and 15 languages and accents. On this page, customers can upload their scripts, review recorded announcements and download the final recordings for use in their Fonality phone systems.
