Information management specialist Kodak Alaris launched a series of software enhancements designed to help businesses and governments accelerate their digital transformation.

Kodak Info Input Express and Kodak Info Input Solution version 4.0, which features a new mobile app, deliver simplified, connected and secure solutions to combat the overwhelming amount of data. Info Input Solution 4.0 also now accommodates complex workflows, adding a mobile element for increased flexibility.

The enhanced Info Input Solution v4.0 is a Web-based document capture application that provides a way to integrate capture into existing enterprise content management (ECM) and line of business applications.

“If you have field workers, such as insurance assessors or social workers, it’s very important to have one platform that captures and manages information from paper as well as digital attachments across mobile, desktop and other devices,” Emma Isichei, category director of capture solutions for Kodak Alaris Information Management, told eWEEK. “The mobile feature enables workflows to send and receive information from a business process. The simplicity of Info Input Mobile allows users to select the business workflow they require capture the information, automatically correct the picture and then send it. The data is automatically routed through the selected workflow, ensuring the information is delivered to the right place at the right time.”

Info Input Express software includes history-based indexing that helps the user to save time and ensure consistency by selecting from a list of previous entered values.

“User friendliness is vital, as businesses don’t want to spend a lot of time training staff on a capture solution rather than focusing on their core competencies,” Isichei said. “Plus, if information is not captured accurately and efficiently, it can lead to major issues. That’s why we design each product with an intuitive user interface, which saves time and allows users to feel at home with the product. As a result, our customers can speed up business processes, handle more transactions and reduce costs.”

Info Input Express also enables users to create user groups and to specify the activities these users can engage in, enabling shareable data and better collaboration.

“With so much data it is easy to lose information when it is captured and handed off to a company’s many systems of record. With Info Input Express, it’s easy to catalog and search for data, which means additional time and cost savings,” Isichei said. “In addition, businesses need to ensure that they can control how and where data is processed and filed. With Info Input, organizations can pre-construct workflows and capture policies according to the user.”
