Collaboration software and services provider PGi announced the release of iMeet, designed to help small and midsize businesses (SMBs) collaborate and create multimedia content.
The cloud-based Web conferencing software enables live video streaming and content creation using expanded format options and recording functionality.
Users can access iMeet by downloading its applications for PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices—or through the Web browser of their choice. Files can be stored in the cloud so documents are always available in iMeet from any device.
All iMeet apps are free, joining a meeting in iMeet is always free for guests, and iMeet offers a range of pricing packages that are designed to fit the budget of cost-conscious companies.
“As a digital agency trusted by amazing brands, we want tech that empowers us to do more in less time–and look impressive doing it,” Christy Cole, account director for Sitewire, said in a statement. “iMeet lets us host a live face-to-face client meeting, record a personalized video message and then host a webinar—even post the webinar replay to popular video websites—all in one cool, affordable tool. iMeet is transforming the way Sitewire collaborates with customers and creates content.”
Businesses can use iMeet to create on-demand video content, such as vLogs, client testimonials, user training and product demonstrations using the new iMeet recording feature and allow meeting guests to share their screens, improving collaboration and productivity by reducing time spent emailing files.
Other features allow companies to host webinars and customer training sessions for up to 125 attendees and post the recordings online for on-demand viewing and use email and social integration to share recorded meeting minutes, including webcam video streams, files, attendee chat and notes.
“This new iMeet release flips the switch on business collaboration and content creation,” Boland Jones, founder, chairman and CEO of PGi, said in a statement. “Today’s SMBs want solutions that help them grow their businesses without increasing their budgets. That’s why collaboration is such a huge focus right now. iMeet is that solution, empowering SMB users with the technologies they need to increase sales and now develop live and on-demand content—all at SMB-approved price points.”
In addition, iMeet is integrated with a range of social networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, so users can learn more about the people they’re meeting with and create a more personal connection.
If a user is in iMeet and wants to bring someone into the discussion, he or she can have iMeet directly call that person’s phone. The platform also gives users the ability to share all kinds of files with guests, including presentations, videos, spreadsheets and more.
