VoxyPAD, a cross-platform interactive mobile app developer, announced the launch and immediate availability of the platform for Apple iOS, Google Android and Windows operating systems.

VoxyPAD enables users to virtually meet from anywhere through the voice and video-based collaborative platform for real-time exchange of texts, drawings, photos, Web pages, documents and more.

The company is also pitching the app to health care organizations, claiming the health care industry can also benefit from real-time communication for various uses from a live discussion of an X-ray to a face-to-face conversations and consultations.

“Our goal with VoxyPAD is to deliver an interactive experience to users, whether it is for business people, educators or doctors looking for a more effective and efficient way to communicate,” Setsuro Tamai, CEO of VoxyPAD, told eWEEK. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to offer VoxyPAD to a wide array of people and professions by evolving the collaborative experience.”

The app enables users to stay connected through features such as real-time handwriting sharing, real-time navigation through Websites, cloud-based data access and advance future messaging.

VoxyPAD is available in Basic, Premium, Business and Enterprise plans, with the basic plan offering one-on-one voice-based collaboration like standard-quality audio, drawing tools, photos and Web pages, and rich content messaging and voice messaging.

The Premium edition offers high-quality audio, drawing tools, photos, Web pages, cloud-based documents and translation advanced messaging features including rich content messaging, voice messaging and group chat with up to four people and the ability to have two devices per account.

The Business edition offers voice-based collaboration for up to four people per session, video-based collaboration (which includes voice-based interaction), high-quality video, resizable video and screen arrangement, rich content messaging, voice messaging and group chat with up to 20 people and up to five devices per account.

Finally, the Enterprise edition features voice-based collaboration with customizable session capacity, video-based collaboration with high-quality video, resizable video and screen arrangement, a customizable quantity of devices per account, and advanced messaging capabilities.

“Over the past few years, we have noticed that voice chat and video calls, although connecting us to a certain extent, failed to help us express our ideas clearly when we worked in a remote manner,” Tamai explained. “The idea for VoxyPAD came about because we realized that ideas needed to be exchanged at the fundamental level–visual images, illustrating tools and access to useful content–wherever we were.”

The app is available for download on iOS, Android devices and Windows PC across all four plans—the basic plan is free, the premium plan costs $1 per month or $8.95 per year and the business plan costs $2 per month or $19.95 per year.

“We are thrilled to bring to market a platform that would make it possible for everyone to connect in highly engaged conversations,” he said. “We strongly believe that the app will be useful not only in daily conversations but also in online education, business meetings, customer service, remote medical diagnosis, and other uses.”
