The Adaptive Resource switch technology pools and virtualizes heterogeneous storage to offer a consolidated view of files and storage resources, eliminating “islands of storage,” said Brendon Howe, VP for marketing and business development at Acopia.

Unstructured data–data that is outside of a relational database management system–represents 80 percent of an enterprises data, Howe said.
