Lite-On IT last week launched an 8x DVD Dual DL (single-sided, double-layer disc) burner and a 12x DVD Dual burner. The dual layer burner is compatible with both DVD+RW and DVD-RW. The drives are available in the Taiwan market.
Lite-On IT and BenQ will make OEM DVD+RW double-layer (DL) burners for Dell Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. PCs.
