Maxtor Unveils 300GB SATA II Hard Drive

Maxtor Corp. this week announced its new line of native SATA MaXLine III hard drives. The new 7200 RPM SATA II drives offer native command queuing, a 16MB buffer and up to 300GB in capacity.

Native command queuing (NCQ) enables multi-threaded performance and allowing the drive to reorder and efficiently execute up to 32 commands for greater data throughput and maximum system performance.
