SolarWinds User Device Tracker Monitors BYOD, Mobile Links

SolarWinds' User Device Tracker (UDT) makes it easy to monitor ports, devices and users on the network. Administrators can instantly find a computer and retrieve the user name, switch name, port details and more. The UDT has a relatively large feature set, especially considering that the product is designed to handle a small subset of the typical network management chores an IT manager has to deal with daily. Interactive tools, provided by the browser-based interface, make it simple to search on a user name, IP address, host name or MAC address, and quickly find the current location of any device. For devices not currently attached to the network, the UDT will display historical data, which will show the last known location. The UDT also supports whitelisting, which allows only specific approved devices on the list to connect to the network. The UDT also supports alerting and warnings based upon a watch list. Whenever a device on that list attempts to connect, it triggers an automatic alert. Extensive reporting supports forensic, trending and analytical needs, while online charts and graphs visualize connections and devices.
