Problems with networks or applications can mean lost money for businesses.

Advanced System Concepts Inc., of Hoboken, N.J., is combining its scheduling and management software with Research In Motion Ltd.s BlackBerry wireless handheld device to enable system administrators and developers, no matter where they are, to keep on top of problems.

Advanced System Concepts ActiveBatch Wireless Client interface lets users take advantage of the BlackBerrys always-on, always-connected capabilities.

ActiveBatchs alert system sends an e-mail to designated personnel describing the nature of the problem, with an ActiveBatch resident application on the BlackBerry device presenting the alert message in an easy-to-understand way.

ActiveBatch is available now; prices range from $595 for the Small Business Server Edition to $75,000 for an unlimited use of ActiveBatch.
