Palm last week announced availability of the Zire 71, a handheld device designed for business users.
The Zire 71 includes a built-in digital camera, a feature that used to appear only on expensive high-end cell phones and handheld devices but is now hitting the mainstream.
The device includes a photo album application, a video player and an MP3 player. It comes with 16MB of memory and a 144MHz ARM processor from Texas Instruments. The Zire 71 costs $299, said officials. The Zire 71 runs Palm OS 5.2 and includes a transflective color screen with a resolution of 320 by 320 pixels and support for multiple expansion cards.
