There is an amazingly random thread of things going on here at Storage Station. For example, did you know that even martial arts fighters need to have storage systems for their business purposes?
It’s true. Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal, the high-flying mixed martial arts fighter preparing for the Strikeforce World Light Heavyweight title bout this Saturday night, has disclosed that he uses Iomegastorage machines. See what we mean?
King Mo, an undefeated MMA star (6-0) and two-time NCAA All-American wrestler, will fight Strikeforce World Light Heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi(28-2-1) on April 17 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The event is scheduled to air live on CBS.
Okay. So how does Iomega fit into this scenario? In preparation for the title fight, we’re told by our storage-insider spies that King Mois critiquing his recorded training sessions with the Iomega ScreenPlay Director HD Media Player, on which users can browse home networks for content to watch on TV.
King Mo is also using the new Iomega iConnect Wireless Data Station, which provides a way to bring all kinds of USB-type storage into a network — including flash drives and USB-powered portable hard drives.
Finally, King Mo is storing all his video clips, images, music and other digital files on the 500GB Iomega eGo BlackBelt Portable Hard Drive.
Iomega President Jonathan Huberman, a smart and funny guy, contributed a good pun to this story.
“It’s a real kick for the Iomega team to know King Mo is using award-winning Iomega products as he prepares for his title fight,” Huberman said.
No way to top that one.
