      • StorageTek Adds to FlexLine V-Series

StorageTek of Louisville, Colo., has bolstered support for mainframe environments with its new FlexLine V-Series Shared Virtual Array (SVA) V2X4f.

Intended for use in native FICON (Fibre Connectivity) in Z/OS (MVS) and z/VM environments, the V2Xf succeeds StorageTeks V2Xf. The new array allows users to concurrently test and develop with multiple SnapShot data copies and restores; offers nondisruptive and consistent DB2 image copy via SnapShot and Virtual Concurrent Copy; and provides near-instant PiT (Point-in-Time) SnapShot, fast backup and PPRC global mirroring.
