In a move aimed at small and medium-size businesses, AltiGen Communications Inc., of Fremont, Calif., will unveil this week software that boosts the capacity and enables multisite management of its IP PBX systems.

AltiWare Open Edition 4.5 comes with outbound call center management, expanded reporting and a new routing feature for incoming calls.

A GUI-based multisite configurator lets network managers configure distributed AltiWare systems from one site.

The configurator enables the creation of virtual extensions and synchronizes them with a unified dialing plan so calls and voice mail are sent to the correct system.

Pricing starts at $1,800, plus licensing fees.
