To give small and midsize businesses a way to extend IP PBX services to remote workers, AltiGen Communications Inc. rolled out an upgraded, server-based phone system providing software integration features and enhanced security capabilities.
AltiServ 4.0 Advanced also facilitates use of the companys call center product, AltiCenter.
AltiCenter allows enterprises with server-based PBXes built by other vendors to add call center features to the system.
To give SMBs enough port capacity on one chassis to support up to 192 analog telephones, the Fremont, Calif., manufacturer also launched a 12-port analog trunk card.
The Triton Analog Card offers a way for the SMB marketplace to increase phone system capacity and flexibility.
The Triton Analog Card costs $2,795. The AltiGen System, including T-1 call center and e-commerce integration, is priced from $400 to $600 per user, depending on the implementation and mix of standard and IP extensions (not including installation).
