If you use technology from Tivoli Systems Inc., there is now a new way to get technical support without having to go online.

The Austin, Texas, enterprise, an IBM company, has released the Tivoli Knowledge Toolkit, a CD containing Tivoli documentation, support tools, field guides and white papers, and a reference guide to Tivoli information and Web links.

Another feature is deployment, customization and utility scripts for Tivoli applications.

The tool kit, which will be updated quarterly, will save engineers time in deploying and managing Tivoli applications while cutting down support calls, according to officials. It is designed to be an offline companion to the companys Comprehensive Archive Search and Submission Tool and the Ask Tivoli Web portals.

Its available now and free to Tivoli Business Partners and IBM and Tivoli engineers.
