Three new products announced last week are designed to enable companies to quickly build enterprise application portals that connect internal systems as well as applications between trading partners.

Developed by Portal Wave Inc., of Mountain View, Calif., Portal Wave XML B2B Server allows information and transaction exchange across enterprises via XML (Extensible Markup Language) files. Delivery is guaranteed via message queuing and XML return receipt.

A simple log allows users to monitor the delivery status of documents such as purchase orders, invoices and inventory levels.

The other products are the Portal Wave Visual Development Studio, which provides a visual development environment for building Wavelets—plug-in software modules that run within the portal—and Portal Wave Application Portal Server 2.0, which enables companies to integrate enterprise systems into a common e-business platform with a single Web interface.

All three products are available now for prices starting at $70,000 for 125 users.
