Sitting pretty Mirapoint Inc. last week unveiled Mirapoint Message Director, an e-mail firewall that sits between a companys internal messaging system and the Internet.
Enforcing the law Message Director screens incoming and outgoing mail traffic for harmful viruses and spam using Trend Micro Inc.s InterScan VirusWall and InterScan eManager products, said officials of the Sunnyvale, Calif., company. Businesses can enforce mail and corporate policies by using the integrated content filtering mechanism.
Pricing Message Director will be available next month, with pricing for the device starting at about $26,000.
