Nontechnical people who want to create industry-specific, personalized portals are getting some help.

CoVia Technologies Inc. this month announced the availability of Vortal, which the Mountain View, Calif., company said will enable businesses to set up collaborative relationships that increase partner communication, sales effectiveness and customer loyalty. Its based on the companys InfoPortal platform.

Vortal provides industry-specific news and information to users desktops and allows users to customize their views. Vortal mixes in company content to give partners and customers an information destination. With Vortal, nontechnical users can manage and update their sites without experience or knowledge of Extensible Markup Language, HTML or other programming languages.

Pricing starts at $85,000.
