AT&T is offering its Mobile Share plan customers a special, limited-time deal that will provide 15GB of monthly shareable data for the same price as its 10GB plan, starting immediately.

The offer, announced by the company on Nov. 17, costs the same $100 a month that’s presently charged for 10GB of shared data. The data charges are in addition to the monthly service fees for each mobile device on a customer’s account.

The promotional offer is available to new and existing AT&T consumer and business customers and includes domestic unlimited talk and texting, according to the company. The expiration date for the special offer has not been announced.

For the new promotional 15GB Mobile Share Value plan, there is a smartphone access charge of $15 per month per line for a smartphone purchased on AT&T Next. The fee is also assessed for each smartphone purchased at full price or when a customer brings his or her own smartphone. Plus, the fee is assessed when a customer’s device uses no term commitment, according to AT&T. For consumers on two-year wireless agreements, the smartphone access charge is $40 per month per line.

AT&T customers can also get unlimited international messaging (text, picture and video) on all Mobile Share Value plans for no additional cost under the plan. That includes messages sent from the United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands to more than 190 countries for text messages and 120 countries for picture and video messages.

Customers who add an AT&T Next line to a Mobile Share Value plan can save up to $25 per month on the monthly access charge per line, according to AT&T. Eligible Mobile Share Value plan customers can also buy their new smartphone with an AT&T Next installment agreement with no annual service contract and no down payment.

Customers on Mobile Share Value plans can choose to bring their own device or purchase a phone at full retail price. They can also buy devices under a two-year wireless agreement, according to AT&T. Customers can add a tablet to their wireless plan for an additional $10 a month.

With 15GB of shareable data, customers could stream 160 hours of music and 30 hours of video, explore the Internet for 300 hours, compose 1,000 posts with photos on social media networks, download 100 mobile apps, or send and receive some 10,000 emails.

Customers and qualified small business users who switch to AT&T and activate a new line of service with a smartphone on AT&T Next can also receive a $150 bill credit, according to the company.

AT&T will continue to offer other promotional Mobile Share Value plans that start at 30GB a month for $130, plus device access charges.

In September, AT&T offered an earlier double-shareable-data plan promotion that ran through Oct. 31, according to a previous eWEEK report.
