Bullitt Mobile’s latest Cat smartphone, now for sale in the U.S. for $399, resists water, dirt, falls on concrete and other harsh treatment.

The Cat S40 features a quad-core 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 processor, 1GB of memory and a 4.7-inch qHD In-Plane Switching (IPS) display that’s covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for durability and scratch resistance.
A $399 Phone for GSM Networks
The Cat S40, which is being sold by Bullitt Mobile, is now available for $399 in the United States for use on GSM networks such as T-Mobile and AT&T Wireless. Bullitt Mobile licenses the Caterpillar name for this handset and for other models in the line.
Long Battery Life on a Charge
The handset include a nonremovable, 3,000mAh lithium-ion battery, which provides users with up to 18 hours of talk time and up to 39 days of standby time when not in use, according to Bullitt Mobile.
Waterproof Up to 3 Feet
The Cat S40 is built to be waterproof in up to 3.1 feet of water for as long as 60 minutes and can be used in rain, snow and other wet conditions outdoors without being damaged.
Easy to Read Screen, Even in Bright Sunlight
The display on the rugged handset is built to be easily read even in direct sunlight or other bright conditions. The smartphone runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. A dedicated app store is also available to users of the S40.
Built for Harsh Conditions
The Cat S40 is built to take abuse in extreme environmental conditions in the workplace or anywhere else by users. The phone meets IP68 standards and exceeds MIL-STD 810G standards for water, dust and shock penetration. It has been tested to withstand drops of up to 5.9 feet on concrete.
A True Workplace Phone
The display on the Cat S40 is also built to work properly when users are wearing gloves or when they are touching the screen with wet fingers. Plus, waterproof warning sensors alert users if the phone is not in a waterproof state so it is not damaged. The waterproof sensors also provide animated warnings to correct the problem.
