LAS VEGAS—Wi-Fi accessory maker TerraWave Solutions on Tuesday will announce plans to sell weather-proof enclosures for Cisco Systems Inc.s wireless LAN gear.

At Ciscos annual Networkers event here, TerraWave will showcase the enclosures, which meet the NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) standards for protection against heat, cold, dust and rain, said officials at TerraWave, in San Antonio.

The enclosures are designed for Ciscos industry-leading Aironet access points.

Meanwhile, TerraWave partner GigaWave Solutions will introduce three new training classes that focus on setting up and keeping up Cisco-based wireless LANs. The courses will address basic issues, including site surveys and installation, as well as advanced-level classes that address Ciscos wireless management software—which is notoriously complicated.

GigaWave, also in San Antonio, specializes in wireless LAN installation training.
