Having to constantly retool systems as interface standards and technologies change can cost businesses a lot of money and time.
Jacada Ltd., with U.S. headquarters in Atlanta, last week announced the availability of its Jacada Interface Server 7.0, a fully integrated development and deployment environment that offers a common interface layer for new application development and existing legacy systems.
The server consolidates the Jacadas product suite and adds an XML (Extensible Markup Language) interface to go along with the Java, Visual Basic and HTML interface capabilities already available.
The server also supports interface development for new applications written in COBOL and RPG. This support is in the early-release stage and will be generally available next quarter.
There is also support for server-side integration using Java Database Connectivity and XML, multiple languages, and native mainframe deployment on the OS/390 platform.
The server is available now. Pricing starts at $30,000 per server.
