Complementary The San Jose, Calif., manufacturer is launching a family of Ethernet switches surnamed EdgeIron 4802F. The fixed-configuration switches provide standard Layer 2 features, including virtual LANs, quality of service, single Spanning-Tree Protocol and port mirroring.

Pricing The EdgeIron 4802F starts at $3,745, which includes 48 10/100 ports, one AC power supply and Layer 2 functionality.
