Teltronics wants to save its customers big bucks by offering a new integrated communications service on one platform.
The Sarasota, Fla.-based communication solutions and services provider announced Nov. 17 that it will begin to integrate its 20-20 telephone switch with Esna Technologies SIP (session initiation protocol) unified messaging platform.
Teltronics 20-20 communication system includes digital telephony and VOIP (voice over IP) capabilities.
The 20-20 platform is a non-blocking digital system that can support networked as well as stand-alone system requirements; it provides a full tandem of switching features and standard and advanced calling features.
For its part, Esna Technologies, which is based in Ontario, Canada, offers a Microsoft-based application platform that gives users the ability to access and manage their communications.
Some of the features in this platform include multilingual speech-enabled auto attendant, voice mail, text-to-speech and wireless device support.
This platform interfaces with voice mail systems that use standard network protocols, such as voice mail systems that use standard network protocols.
By offering this integrated communication on a single, unified platform, Teltronics says it will save large enterprises, as well as SMBs (small and midsize businesses), an average of 15 to 20 percent.
“Integration is a transparent interface into our 20-20 switching system, which is accomplished without the use of analog voice mail cards,” Richard Begando, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Teltronics, wrote in an e-mail to eWEEK.
“It reduces the cost of the system, provides a much smoother interface into the system and provides additional benefits to the customer,” Begando added.
Begando said that some additional benefits to this integrated platform include:
- Support for high availability and resiliency
- Elimination of voice cards in favor of full-featured IP cards
- Flexibility in terms of remote site support
- Flexibility in terms of deployment location
- Reduction of the cost of hardware
- Delivery of real-time availability of content from any access point
The IP-enabled 20-20 Communication system also includes investment protection, elimination of leased lines, interoperates with other standards based systems and offers common access to advanced applications.
This new platform from Teltronics is now available for businesses.
