Enterprise resource planning software maker Best Software announced today that two of its products are newly integrated.
Best, of Austin, Texas, announced the general availability of a new integration between its Abra Suite for human resources and payroll, and the MIP Fund Accounting product line, including MIP Fund accounting for nonprofit organizations and MIP Government Series for government agencies.
The Abra Payroll/MIP Fund Accounting integration brings a direct interface between payroll and MIP Fund Accountings general ledger capabilities.
The Abra Suite, geared toward nonprofits and government agencies, manages employee data, benefits, attendance, recruiting, training and compliance reporting.
The Abra payroll module handles deductions, accruals, check printing, direct deposit and payroll tax reporting.
MIP Fund Accounting provides accounting software for non-profit organizations.
What the integration between the two suites does is enable users to process payroll with Abra and then transfer information directly to the MIP Fund Accounting general ledger—basically getting rid of the need to input the same information twice.
At the same time the Abra Payroll/MIP Fund Accounting interface enables the software to automatically allocate the payroll transactions based on its general ledger and distribution codes. Users can select data to transfer by company, organization or check date, and payroll transactions can be summarized by date or detailed by check number.
The integration is available with Abra Payroll 7.0, and higher versions, and with version 4.6 and higher of MIP Government Series.
