Acer Brings Windows 10 to Portable All-in-One and New Convertible
For the first time, an Acer all-in-one gets a five-hour battery to make it portable, while the new convertible device offers flexible positioning.
Acer Aspire R 14 Convertible
The Aspire R 14 has a 14-inch display and can be configured with a range of 6th Generation Intel Core processors, up to 8GB of DDR3L RAM and several sizes of solid-state drives (SSDs) for storage.
Use It as Laptop, Tablet, Flat or Standing
The Aspire R 14 includes a 360-degree hinge that allows it to be used in a wide variety of positions, including as a notebook, tablet, lying flat or standing on its edges. The machine has a brushed metallic finish, is 0.72 inches thick and weighs about 3.96 pounds.
R14 Starts at $699
The latest Acer convertible will be available in North America in late October and will start at $699 for a basic configuration.
Built for Fast Wireless Performance
The Aspire R 14 also includes the latest MU-MIMO wireless technology for faster WiFi and download speeds, compared with traditional 802.11ac products.
Aspire Z3-700 All-in-One
The innovative Aspire Z3-700 all-in-one adds a five-hour battery to a traditional all-in-one, giving it portability and allowing its use away from electrical sockets so that users take it from room to room or anywhere as needed.
Use It Almost Anywhere
The Z3-700 all-in-one includes two kickstands that allow it to stand or lean, giving the device a wide range of positions for users. The Z3-700 can be configured with a range of Intel Pentium or Celeron processors, up to 8GB of DDR3L RAM and a range of SSDs or hard-disk drives for data storage. The machine weighs about 4.4 pounds.
17.3-Inch Full HD Display for Multimedia
The Aspire Z3-700 features a bright 17.3-inch Full HD (1920 by 1080) 10-point capacitive multi-touch display, which also supports stylus use. The all-in-ones will be available in Europe, the Middle East and Asia by the end of the year with prices starting at about $680. Pricing and availability for the United States has not yet been determined.
