Acer’s Switch One 10 and Switch V 10 2-in-1 Notebooks Start at $199

Acer’s new Switch two-in-one notebooks feature 10.1-inch multi-touch IPS displays, and can be disconnected from their keyboard docks and used as tablets.

The Acer Switch V 10 2-in-1

The Switch V 10, like its Switch One 10 sibling, features a 10.1-inch multi-touch IPS display, an Intel Atom quad-core processor, a precision touch-pad and the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system. The Switch V 10 can be purchased with 32GB or 64GB of storage and includes a metal outer cover, a USB Type-C port for video output and charging, and an all-new antimicrobial-treated Corning Gorilla Glass display cover.

Flexible Display Positioning for Convenience

The Switch V 10 also includes Acer’s Snap Hinge latchless magnetic mechanism that lets users position the device into four different modes—notebook, pad, tent and display— by opening, folding and repositioning it. The Switch V 10 also features dual cameras and battery life of up to about nine hours per charge.

Built-in Fingerprint Reader for Security

The Switch V 10, aimed at students, families and young professionals, features dual-band MIMO 802.11ac WiFi and a built-in fingerprint reader that lets users securely sign in using Windows Hello for instant access. In addition, the touch-screen of the Switch V 10 can be used by owners to take notes, write, draw and highlight on Web pages using Microsoft Edge. The machines are available in five colors: Pearl White, Shale Black, Coral Red, Peacock Blue or Navy Blue.

The Switch One 10 model is aimed at families and budget-conscious buyers who want a full-featured notebook and tablet device that can be used for productivity and entertainment purposes. The Switch One 10 features a dark-gray brushed-metal cover and an HD touch-screen display, as well as a fingerprint reader.

Dual Cameras, Four Device Modes

The Switch One 10 features dual cameras, up to 8 hours of battery power per charge and also shares the four device mode capabilities and latchless magnetic hinge of its sibling, the Switch V 10.

Acer TravelMate P249 Business Laptop

The latest Acer TravelMate P2 business laptops feature sixth-generation Intel Core processors, DDR4 memory, Nvidia GeForce 940M graphics and Windows 10 in a choice of 14-inch or 15.6-inch Full HD display sizes. The 14-inch P249 model is shown in these images.

Certified for Skype Video Conferencing

Both the TravelMate P249 and 15.6-inch TravelMate P259 are certified for Skype for Business and include Acer TrueHarmony audio and dual stereo speakers. Both machines offer optional built-in fingerprint readers for instant and secure user log-ins and are covered with a stylish, scratch-resistant, non-slip, textile pattern cover. The newest TravelMate models will be available in North America later this year starting at $599.
