New software from active Navigation Inc. promises to help businesses analyze Web content to identify the most important concepts, index the content and create links without HTML coding.
Portal Maximizer 2, released last week by the San Francisco and Southampton, England, company, will eliminate unrelated results and allow users to find information more quickly.
Active Navigation is targeting Fortune 5000 companies, especially pharmaceutical, government/ defense and Internet publishing companies.
In addition to document analysis and dynamic text links, Portal Maximizer 2 automatically categorizes structured and unstructured content as it enters corporate databases, identifies related documents and updates them with links, searches documents with a drill-down feature, and summarizes documents after a search.
Available now, Portal Maximizer 2 runs on Windows NT, Windows 2000, Solaris and Linux and can be customized. Pricing starts at $75,000 per server.
