Cheaper backup With storage needs going up and IT spending going down, businesses are looking for low-cost ways to back up data.

Bundled offering OnStream Data B.V. last week began shipping ADR2.60ide, a digital tape drive that offers the performance of SCSI products but at a lower price.

The Austin, Texas, companys new product comes bundled with TapeWare XE, single- server-based network software from Yosemite Technologies Inc., of Fresno, Calif. The OnStream product offers twice the media capacity of its first-generation version. Also, the enhanced IDE interface eliminates the need to spend money for a SCSI card.

Pricing Available now, pricing for the ADR2.60ide starts at $499.
