Later this month, Vcon Telecommunications Ltd. will upgrade its set-top videoconferencing appliances to provide more IP functions and T.120 ISDN support.

Falcon 2.0, the latest software upgrade for Vcons Falcon IP line of products, includes improved audio and video quality through IP data rates of up to 512K bps.

With the T.120 ISDN support, users can click a utility on a PC and share data with other users on the Austin, Texas, companys Falcon system. Shared data includes whiteboard sessions, file transfers and document collaboration.

With Vcons Media Xchange Manager, users can invite other participants into a point-to-point videoconference, turning it into a multipoint call.

Video calls can be transferred easily, allowing conference administrators to initiate sessions for users.

The Falcon IP comes in three models, starting at $3,795, and the 2.0 upgrade is free to current users.
